Creating a Community Quilt

Part of being an Artist in Residence is working with community members. Last Saturday we spent making blocks for a garden themed community quilt. Many people from the community dropped in (some stayed all day) to make 5 1/2" blocks. This quilt will be shown at our Community craft sales in November and it will be raffled off in December. The goal is to raise money for the new Community Garden which is to built next spring. Apparently, it's a huge job bringing in water and so on. My job is to make sure the quilt happens. Here are some photos. It's coming along.
