I put eight quilts into the show this year. It’s a good way to keep a record of what you’ve done each year. Some of these are originals, but some are just UFO’s that I have to get out of my closet.
Yellow Poppies – a Lenore Crawford pattern – started in 2010.
byThis one is called “Gravity” by JayBird. I switched the white to black. Thought it looked better having the white next to the Starburst and the black edges. Besides, white bindings always get dirty!
A Zebra Fish to add to my aquarium.
Another attempt at “Katy as Water”. It was bang on until I did her eyes. I guess I’ll keep practicing.
The handy “Ampersand”, I made this with “Quilted Mouse Guild” as a challenge.
Created this for my husband’s birthday. Dale is known for his Hawaiian shirts, so I had to make it into a quilt. He loves it.
This is called “Dizzy Diamonds”. I started it in a class with Gloria Loughman in Canmore. Sugar Pine brought her in. I used every fancy stitch on my machine to embellish this quilt.
